Effective Reservoir Management

23.07.2020

Course “Effective Reservoir Management” is developed for petroleum engineers and related sectors specialists. Course program is designed to study and understand the fundamentals of reservoir engineering and integrated approach to field development.

Course content is addressed to engineers interested in competence training in sphere of uncertainties reduction, deposits development, design of wellwork program and field development efficiency improvement.

Intense 5-day course include:

  • Formation properties and fluid flow concept;
  • Field research: traditional and hi-tech (well logging, testing, MDT, XPT, FEWD, solid tracers);
  • Development system (determination, well placing, well density and oil recovery index calculation);
  • Waterflooding plan and analysis;
  • Wellwork program development and effect calculation (hydraulic fracturing, BHT, well and multihole completion);
  •  Well testing (production decline and block analysis, material balance, one-dimensional and numerical modeling);
  • Operational management tools (Hall plot, ABC plot, unhomogeneity ratio, dashboard, associated water analysis, analogue method).

Course includes case studies, practical exercises on individual and team basis.

Acquired abilities:

  • determine key spheres and tasks of reservoir management;
  • apply analytical methods of field data processing and conclude about design parameters deviations;
  • apply engineering methods of layer management and analysis;
  • design complex monitoring, secondary analysis and wellwork programs aimed at development system optimization.
