Target audience: the advanced training course is available to individuals who hold (or are currently pursuing) a higher or secondary vocational education in the relevant field, or who have completed professional retraining in the corresponding area.
Studying methods: lecture, seminar, discussion, case study, demonstration, exercises, problem solving, performing calculations.
After of course, participants will be: to improve professional competencies as reflected in practical abilities:
- To understand the theoretical foundations of mechanical processes occurring at various stages of hydrocarbon field exploration and development;
- To be able to determine the necessary and sufficient set of preliminary studies required to obtain reliable solutions for applied geomechanical problems in hydrocarbon fields;
- To construct 1D and 3D models of mechanical properties based on the integration of: experiments to determine the mechanical properties of rock samples; well logging data; seismic survey data;
- To numerically estimate the values of parameters characterising the stress state of rocks forming hydrocarbon fields using geophysical survey data.
About course: enhancement of professionals’ competencies in solving applied geomechanical tasks for hydrocarbon fields to improve the efficiency of exploration and development of oil and oil‑gas fields.
