Target audience: the advanced training course is available to individuals who hold (or are currently pursuing) a higher or secondary vocational education in the relevant field, or who have completed professional retraining in the corresponding area.
Studying methods: lecture, seminar, conversation, independent homework, problem solving, calculations, graphing, group discussion, debate, and watching videos.
After of course, participants will be: to improve professional competencies as reflected in practical abilities:
- to plan, implement, and analyze the results of the application of physical, chemical, and gas methods for increasing oil recovery;
- to take into account the mechanism of water flooding of well production by injected water and apply technologies for the design of a water-isolating composition depending on the mechanism of water flooding;
- to apply modern gas methods for increasing oil recovery, requirements for the design of wells for gas EOR, modeling of gas EOR and sources of injected agents during their implementation;
- to analyze the results of the application of gas methods for increasing oil recovery at the field;
- to determine the technical and economic efficiency of methods for increasing oil recovery.
About course: enhancement of professional competencies for specialists in the field of modern enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods, including the application of physico‑chemical, hydrodynamic and gas EOR techniques. Implementation of flow diversion technologies with targeted design of water‑shutoff materials, taking into account the filtration route of injected water and the mechanism of well production water cut. Demonstration of specific examples of polymer flooding project implementation, low‑volume EOR methods, hydrocarbon gas injection and EOR simulation.
