Target audience: the advanced training course is available to individuals who hold (or are currently pursuing) a higher or secondary vocational education in the relevant field, or who have completed professional retraining in the corresponding area.
Studying methods: lecture, seminar, conversation, briefing, research project, calculations, graphs, laboratory experiments, group discussion, demonstration, video viewing, and working with a textbook/reference book.
After of course, participants will be: to improve professional competencies as reflected in practical abilities:
- rationally select the type and parameters of drilling fluid based on knowledge of the classification of hydrocarbon‑based drilling fluids and the chemical reagents used in them, depending on geological conditions;
- adjust the parameters of hydrocarbon‑based drilling fluids to minimise their impact on the bottomhole formation zone;
- conduct scientific laboratory research related to the development of hydrocarbon‑based drilling fluids;
- select appropriate equipment required for the application of hydrocarbon‑based drilling fluids during well drilling operations;
- control the properties of hydrocarbon‑based fluids during the drilling process.
About course: enhancement of professional competencies for specialists from drilling organisations, engineering and technology services, mud laboratories, and research institutions in the field of development, formulation, application, and optimisation of hydrocarbon‑based drilling fluids properties.
